OVERVIEW
At Reproductive Health Collaborative Nebraska, we work to provide access to quality sexual and reproductive healthcare services and education for Nebraskans statewide. We are a small funding organization that manages initiatives to braid federal and private funding to advance sexual and reproductive health. RHCN is at an exciting time of growth and expansion. As a collaborative team of subject matter experts, we work in an integrated and iterative fashion to implement, evolve, and expand programming and best practices.
We seek a mission-driven part-time Finance Associate to support the financial and accounting operations of the organization by assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial record keeping. This position works closely with the Director of Finance & Administration to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
General Accounting
- Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payments
- Verify coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
- Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation
- Prepare invoices and track incoming payments
- Post receipts and maintain accurate vendor and grant records
- Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with tracking grant expenditures and ensuring expenses are properly documented and allocated
- Support the preparation of financial reports for grants, contracts, and organizational reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate and organized grant files, including supporting documentation for expenditures and program activities
- Ensure compliance with record retention requirements and assist with audits, monitoring visits, and funder reviews
Office Support
- Coordinate office supply inventory and order supplies as needed
- Support relationships with office vendors and service providers
- Assist with purchasing, receiving, and tracking office and program supplies
- Support facility and administrative operations assigned
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Minimum of 1–2 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with nonprofit accounting and grant-funded programs preferred
