Our team recently welcomed Olivia Rath as RHCN’s new Education Coordinator in the southeast Nebraska region.
Olivia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Special Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She brings a background in sexual and reproductive healthcare and social work, including six years of experience in client caretaking and advocacy roles.

Olivia Rath brings experience in client advocacy at Planned Parenthood and the Heartland Center for Reproductive Medicine to her new Education Coordinator role at Reproductive Health Collaborative Nebraska.
Olivia has worked at organizations including Planned Parenthood (an RHCN healthcare network provider partner) and the Heartland Center for Reproductive Medicine, where she supported patients navigating reproductive healthcare services. She has also served as a member of RHCN’s Community Advisory Council.
Olivia, who originally hails from Schuyler, Nebraska, says it’s “truly a dream” to work in sexual and reproductive health and education.
“Everyone deserves to feel safe and have pleasure when engaging in sexual experiences,” says Olivia. “All people should be equipped with knowledge about their bodies and have tools to explore that safely throughout their lives.”
She adds she is grateful to work at an organization that prioritizes the advancement of unbiased, fact-based, shame-free sex education and to partner with colleagues who “express passion for this work, the same as me.”
Since Olivia is chock-full of helpful sex education knowledge, we asked for some of her favorite resources.
“I love Scarleteen, which is a grassroots website that’s been around since 1998 and has a plethora of content for all sorts of questions,” she says. “I’m a big fan of author Peggy Orenstein, who wrote Girls & Sex and Boys & Sex. It’s a great resource for parents of teens who know their kids are sexual beings and may be a little uncomfortable with that reality.”
Olivia also recommends @sexedprincess on Instagram.
“They do incredible intersectional work and explore meme culture and sex ed in a really creative way,” she says.
Welcome to RHCN, Olivia! Nebraska is ready to learn with and from you.
